<title>AR Post about charging a retainer fee </title>
    <description>Glenn Freezman says:

wow, that was a kick a$$ conversation. Befuddling insofar as the overwhelming majority say YES and the overwhelming majority also say &quot;I&apos;ll go second&quot; The industry may be beyond hope. It mat take a new crop of 960,000 free thinkers to replace the moldy, dust ridden fear filled agents we have now.

<title>Think Different - The Best Tribute to Steve Jobs </title>
    <description>William Watkins says:

No more baby steps. Innovation normally hits us without much notice. We always hear the whispers early on, but we pass it off with comments like, &quot; They Don&apos;t Know What They&apos;re Talking About!&quot; &quot; That Will Never Work!&quot; Well the whispers are there. Let us not pass them off.

<title>Think Different - The Best Tribute to Steve Jobs </title>
    <description>Jose Rivera says:

Steve Jobs was a brilliant man that was ahead of his time. He was always thinking into the future, to produce better technical tools for the general public. There will never be another Steve Jobs.
However, Steve Jobs did not act alone. He was helped by a very special group of &quot;helpers&quot; that made it all possible to come up with the &quot;next great invention&quot;.
We ACREs, are of course, very grateful and thankful for having found Mollie Wasserman and her ACRE program. We probaby ALL, at some point in our real estate careers, had the realization that we didn&apos;t just want to &quot;sell&quot; properties. We wanted to also give professional advice, and be paid for it. It was always on the &quot;back of our minds&quot;. As the number of ACREs grows, we ALL need to form LOCAL groups, in our own states, counties, and cities, and start communicating with each other on a regular basis. Yes, the ACRE training and very important, but so is the creation of local groups, so that they can support and encourage each other, every day. Just knowing that we ARE growing in numbers, is NOT going to change the way Broker/Owners think of their businesses.

<title>Nucazza Needs You! You should get paid as part of the process AND part of the sale. </title>
    <description>MICHAEL EICHORN says:

What a great Idea, I had a buyer come in who works out of the country (Singapore). it was a referral from a friend of mine, (His father in law) looking for a tax shelter, spent the time qualifying him with a lender I use frequently, the buyer supplied everything, was qualified and was only going to be here a week to identify a property, I spent a week running the buyer around, he settled on a property that was vacant on the market for over 2 years and the sellers needed to get out from underneath it, he, said I will offer this and no more, it was a fair price for time on market, the sellers countered $3,750 after knowing beforehand that this was the most he would pay, they had the means to get out from it, they countered, he walked, he&apos;s buying a property in Singapore and said &quot;Mike, I&apos;ll see you next year and buy something bigger&quot; No one won in this situation. I could have worked with this program and received compensation for time spent and it may have been the deciding factor.

<title>Buyer Services are not FREE! They&apos;re just Financed. </title>
    <description>John Giammarco says:

Hi Mollie, this is a great article. I learned this lesson very early on in my real estate career. I told a buyer I was working with at the time that my services were free, after all I heard other agent in the office say that to their buyers. After I told the buyer that my services were free, he politely pointed out that the seller has to pay a commission, and that in most cases the seller will inflate the price of the home to cover the cost of the commission and that he as the buyer of that home will actually be paying the commission. Wow what an eye opener early on in my career.
